Nurses who are registering for the first time or do not have a current practising certificate in another state of Australia or New Zealand are required to apply using the form
Registration/Enrolment as a nurse under the Nursing Act 1995 (Interstate or Overseas nurses) or
Registration/Enrolment as a nurse under the Nursing Act 1995 (Tasmanian graduates only)
The Mutual Recognition Act 1992 provides for the registration and enrolment of nurses who have a current practising certificate in another state of Australia. Nurses who have a practising certificate should apply using the form Initial application under the Mutual Recognition Act 1992
The Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 provides for the registration and enrolment of nurses who have a current practising certificate in New Zealand. Nurses who have a practising certificate should apply using the form Initial application under the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 (Commonwealth)
