Communications
The Communications function of the Nursing Board of Tasmania (the Board) exists to inform the public, the profession and key stakeholders of the Board's role, functions and activities.
Communications objectives are set according to the Board's Strategic plan (for further information refer to the Board's strategic plan).
Through our various communication strategies we keep the public and the profession informed about the Board's role in protecting the public through excellent nursing practice.
The Board aims to raise the awareness of the public and the profession of its key activities, and the policies that affect nursing practice.

Our website is designed to allow the public and the profession 24 hour access to information about the Board, and nursing practise.
NBT News
NBT News is a publication distributed three times a year to every registered and enrolled nurse and subscribers. It contains information with regard to Board activities, professional and practice issues and items of interest to nurses.
e-Bulletin
e-Bulletin provides an Electronic Link with the Board for 'News that Can't Wait!'
Annual Report
Our Annual Report can be accessed through various libraries including the Nursing Board of Tasmania. To view online please go to (Publications/Annual Report).
Public Register
The Board must keep a register called the Register of Nurses and a roll called the Roll of Nurses. A person may, on payment of the prescribed fee, inspect the register or roll at the office of the Board. Alternatively the public register may be viewed online. If you have a concern about a nurse or a midwife, please call (03) 6224 3991 to speak to a member of the Board staff or obtain further information.
