As the nurses' registration fees and interest on investments fund the Board, we must be efficient in our processes and provide effective financial projection to facilitate daily operations and strategic direction.

Our internal audits continue to confirm that the Board operates in a tightly controlled and well-documented manner. While systems are consistently being reviewed to ensure effectiveness, the introduction of the Board's new computer system NBIS will ensure that our systems will become further streamlined, thus increasing efficiency.

Full financial statements are prepared in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and are produced as part of the Board's Annual Report as per the requirements of the Nursing Act 1995 and the Financial Management and Audit Act 1990.

The Board regards teamwork and individual growth as a high priority and provides funds for all staff to attend seminars and conferences to assist with their professional and personal development.
