Procedure for Less Serious Complaints
If a matter goes before the Board pursuant to Section 61, the proceedings, including the decision, is not public record.
If, however, as a result of those proceedings, there are any changes to the nurse's right of practise (e.g. ability to administer scheduled substances), then this will be shown on that nurse's practising certificate, or on the register/roll as appropriate.
Formal Inquiry
An Inquiry conducted by the Professional Review Tribunal is generally open to the public (unless the Tribunal orders otherwise), and therefore, its decision is public record.
The Board has a policy regarding Tribunal decisions, and can only provide copies of the decision if the request is tendered in writing.
